Common HubSpot Issues and Fixes

Issue: Cannot Find a Contact

Possible causes:

• incorrect spelling

• duplicate records (no standard email address)

• contact not yet created

Fix

Search by:

• email address

• company name

• alternate spelling

If the contact does not exist, create a new record by hitting "create" in the upper right hand corner of the "Contacts" index within HubSpot.

Issue: Emails Not Logging

Possible causes:

• email not connected

• extension not installed

• incorrect logging settings

• HubSpot Outlook plugin not open

Fix

1. confirm email integration is active

2. verify extension installation and is open

3. ensure logging is enabled

Note: Internal emails between IDX employees will not be logged.

• permission restrictions

Contact the CRM administrator to request additional access.
