# System Roles: What Each Platform Is Responsible For

#### HubSpot Responsibilities

HubSpot manages **customer relationship and engagement data**.

Examples include:

- Leads and prospects
- Contact records
- Company records
- Sales deals
- marketing campaign engagement
- email interactions
- meeting activity
- notes and communication history

Sales and marketing teams should complete most of their daily work in HubSpot.

#### Dynamics Responsibilities

Dynamics manages **financial and operational records**.

Examples include:

- invoices
- revenue recognition
- payment tracking
- financial reports
- contract billing
- accounting workflows

#### Shared Data

Certain records sync between both systems.

Examples:

- Companies
- Customers
- Deal information
- Account details

These records help ensure finance and sales teams are aligned.
